Team Flavournoids

Kirsten is a chef de cuisine and Matlhatse an experienced pastry chef. These two make up Team Flavournoids and are a rocking combination. Both have great attention to detail and a wide variety of cooking skills, but will this be enough to win them this years, and season 7’s, Ultimate Braai Master title?

The Charred Oaks

Sigqibo (Shobs) and Sechaba (Sich) are from Cape Town. This team laugh together, gym together and play together. They both like celebrating small moments, whisky and the finer things in life. Will their refined taste give them the edge over the other competitors in this season of Ultimate Braai Master?

Team Iron Tummies

Taahir and Yash, are two management consultants from Joburg! They have the right skills to be strategic when required, and learnt the gift of staying calm under pressure, but do they have the braai skills to take them to the final round and take home the title of Ultimate Braai Master, as this is what it is all about?

Team Eighty8s

They are food rebels without recipes but have a natural gift for serving up delicious meals no matter what ingredients come their way. Alex is from Joburg, and Kyle is from Benoni, and together they make a formidable team! Will this revolutionary and innovative duo be crowned this season’s Ultimate Braai Master?

Team Asadors

Bertus from Wellington in the Western Cape and Busi from Lonehill, Gauteng are an unlikely team. Busi attended a culinary school a few years ago, where Bertus was lecturing on wine. With their joint passion for wine and all things food-related, they together are participating as Team Asador in Season 7 of Ultimate Braai Master.

Team Meat Ranger

Kevin is From Gauteng, and Zee is from Kwa-Zulu Natal. This cross-country braai team met when they were both working at a restaurant chain in Cape Town. With no professional training, they have impressive braai skills and an obsession for braaiing. MeatRanger. Will this duo get to hold the title for the next Ultimate Braai Master?

Team Gourmet Grills

Famous for whale watching and it’s a dense population of great white sharks resident Gansbaai’ians, meet the 🔥🔥Gourmet Grill Team 🔥🔥Nhlakanipho Sokhela (Sox) and Thabo Rasimeni who are no strangers to the Ultimate Braai Master. Thabo competed last year and was the runner-up. Will their prior knowledge of the show give them an edge?

Will they handle the unpredictable Eastern Cape weather conditions better than the other teams?

Team Violets

Team Violet, Dion Vengatass and Yuzaine Ashwill Philander are the most awarded chefs in this episode, Dion a Chef de Cuisine and Yuzanie (Ashwill) a Demi de Partie chef (a Demi de Partie chef is like a stepping-stone role between Commis chef and a fully-fledged Chef De Cuisine). Both have done their time in the hospitality industry, working at a major hotel group within South Africa. These two know how to make things sizzle, but can they adapt to the outdoor and braai environment and make it through to the final of Season 7? 

Team Salt and Pepper

Chantel Cuthbert & Ronel Annandale are Team Salt and Pepper. Both are local Nelson Mandela Bay residents, and these two encompass the name  “friendly”. They are team players, work like a well-oiled machine, and their genuine friendship brings out the best in each other. When the pressure is on, this team stays calm! Will this be enough to get them through to grab the title of Ultimate Braai Master Season 7?
